Pet Sitting

Our pet sitting services include feeding, watering, refreshing litter boxes, dog walks, play, potty breaks and our basic house sitting services (listed below). Extended time can be requested, if needed, for multiple pet homes or for additional services. Most litter box trained cats do well with one regular visit per day. Most dogs will require 3 or 4 visits a day for potty breaks and exercise. Please see our special package rate for dogs. Whiskers and Paws provides service for most types of pets including cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles and small caged animals. We do reserve the right to refuse service to animals that are poisonous or that have a history of aggression.

House Sitting
Our basic house sitting services include taking in your mail and newspapers, putting out the trash, and simple security measures such as adjusting the shades or lights to make your home appear lived in while you are away. You do not need to have any pets to request our house sitting services. We can also provide additional services such as lawn watering or mowing upon request.
Dog Walking

Mid-day dog walks are a great way to give your dog a potty break and some much needed exercise and TLC while you are away at work. We will walk your dog around your neighborhood or transport your pet to a dog friendly park or walking trail for a special treat. We have special rates for people that schedule our services at least 8 times a month; however, you can request our services less frequently or on demand as well. There is an additional charge of $5 for each additional dog per dog walking visit. The number of dogs that I will agree to walk at the same time will depend upon their size, training and temperament.

Pet Taxi
We are happy to transport your pet(s) to appointments such as the groomers or to their veterinarian. We can also assist you by picking up supplies for your pet such as medications or special pet foods. This allows you to spend more time with your family at home rather than running errands.

First Service Discount - We will take 10% off of your bill for the first service that you book with us (up to 7 days).
Referral Credit - We will provide you with a $10 credit for each referral that results in services booked.
Dog Walking for multiple dogs - There is a $5 charge for each additional dog per visit.
Pet Taxi - Our fees are based upon the duration of the visit from the time that we arrive at the pick-up location until we have dropped off the pet at the final destination or completed the errand. The minimum charge is the same as our regular 30 minute visit. Additional time will be charged at our regular rate for extended visits. In addition, we will assess a charge for the mileage from the pick-up location to the final destination based upon the IRS Standard mileage rates. For example, if it was four miles each way between the pick-up location and the destination location then we would assess an additional charge of $4.68, (4 miles x 2 trips x 58.5 cents/mile = $4.68). Note: The IRS standard mileage rate may change. If we are asked to leave the pet and return later for pick up, we will consider each trip separately when we calculate the charges.
Payments - Payment is due 5 days following the completion of services for service requests lasting 14 days or less. We require that 50% be paid in advance for services that will last 15 days or more. We assign a $25 charge for returned checks or late payments that are made 15 days or more after the payment was due.
Free Initial Consultation - We require an initial consultation before the first service. This will take approximately 30-45 minutes. At this visit we can complete the necessary paperwork, answer questions, transfer keys, and tour your home while discussing detailed instructions on how to care for your pets. A consultation is not required for future service requests; however, we will need a new service request form completed each time you request our services. These forms can be mailed or emailed to you.
